We’re looking for a Lab Technician to join our 3D battery team in Eindhoven!
If you’ve got experience in a materials or chemical lab and have an eye for detail, this could be the perfect role for you. As part of the team, you’ll help prepare, assemble, and test new battery recipes, making sure everything is accurate, and the results are consistent. Your work will play a key role in developing our 3D battery cells.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Perform hands-on tasks such as material preparation, electrolyte fabrication, battery cell assembly, and setting up tests on battery cycling equipment, while accurately recording observations.
- Operate, maintain, and clean lab equipment, ovens, and battery cyclers, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, including scheduled maintenance and inventory management to ensure smooth workflows.
- Follow lab schedules and complete tasks on time to meet project deadlines while documenting all activities and generating reports on battery cycling data.
- Adhere strictly to laboratory safety protocols, especially when handling hazardous materials, and ensure high precision in all tasks for reliable results.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to develop, test, and optimize battery technologies and electrochemical testing procedures.
Your profile:
- MBO/HBO in Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science. MBO candidates should have at least 1 year of work experience.
- Hands-on experience in a research lab or technical environment. Experience with electrochemical testing is a plus.
- The ability to synthesize organic and inorganic materials is an advantage, as well as working in clean rooms and/or glove boxes.
- Proactive, precise, and safety-conscious, with a strong focus on quality and reproducibility.
- Junior/Entry-level role with opportunities to grow in an innovative lab environment.
Competences
- English speaking, equivalent to at least B1 level
- Effective communication skills
- Strong commitment to following safety protocols and ensuring compliance with lab standards
- The ability to work independently.
