As a Lab Technician at LionVolt, you will:
Key Responsibilities for Lab Technician Battery Assembly
- Perform hands-on tasks, including material preparation, battery cell fabrication (e.g., coin and/or pouch), according to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and set up tests on battery cycling equipment.
- Work comfortably in research environment.
- Manage maintenance and lab clean up schedule for cell assembly and testing labs.
- Document all activities, generate reports and updates on battery cycling data on a periodic basis and maintain diligent records.
- Follow lab schedules and ensure tasks are completed on time to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain focus and stamina when working for extended periods in controlled environments, such as glove boxes or cleanrooms.
- Demonstrate precision and accuracy in all tasks to ensure high-quality and reproducible results.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment, including glove boxes, ovens, and battery cyclers, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Strictly adhere to laboratory safety protocols, especially when handling hazardous or reactive materials.
- Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to develop, test, and optimize innovative battery technologies and test methodologies.
- Conduct inventory management, including stock-taking of supplies and materials, and help handling procurement to ensure uninterrupted workflows.
Your Profile
To excel in this role, you bring:
- Proven experience in a research lab or hands-on technical environment; experience with electrochemical testing is an advantage.
- MBO / HBO level, with at least 3 years of work experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with precision and accuracy.
- Comfort working in controlled environments, such as cleanrooms and glove boxes, for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude toward lab maintenance and inventory management.
- Excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines and ensure efficient workflows.
- A strong commitment to following safety protocols and ensuring compliance with lab standards.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- English speaking, equivalent to at least B1 level.
