After final approval from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, the NXTGEN HIGHTECH programme is officially launched. LionVolt anchors the 3D Battery Pilot Line project.

The NXTGEN HIGHTECH programme has received final approval from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. Within the programme, LionVolt anchors the 3D Battery Pilot Line project, working alongside nine partners to realise a first-of-its-kind R&D pilot line for the development and scaling of unique 3D solid-state batteries.

The 3D battery pilot line project has a total value of €18.5 million, of which €11 million is funded through the NXTGEN HIGHTECH programme — itself supported by the Dutch National Growth Fund.

The pilot line is intended to be the bridge between LionVolt’s laboratory work and full-scale manufacturing of 3D-structured anodes for next-generation battery cells.
