LionVolt has been selected as one of the ten winners of the Gerard & Anton Award 2022. The award is presented each year to the most promising start-ups in the Brainport region. The winners were chosen by an independent jury from a shortlist of 55 nominations.

LionVolt is developing solid-state batteries aimed at raising battery safety levels significantly — for example, in aircraft and cars, where flammable liquids are still present in conventional cells today. The batteries are also designed to recharge faster than present-day lithium-ion cells.

The award arrives in a milestone year in which LionVolt has demonstrated the potential of 3D electrodes in practice and produced its first 3D-structured battery cells.
